Well, here we are again on Throwback Time, ready to look back at another company that left its mark on the Chinese market. Today, we're looking at Newman!

Electronics company Newman are back from a hiatus and have released a new Android smartphone featuring a built in finger-print scanner and YunOS.

When was the last time you heard about Chinese smartphone maker Newman? Yep it has been awhile, but it is great to see that they are still alive and kicking.

Newman are hoping to get a little more life out of the Newman K2 with an upgrade to K2S with 8-core Mediatek chipset, more memory, improved 3G support and better rear camera.

Long awaited 8 core phone from Newman, the K18 finally made it through the Chinese Ministry of Communications with a network license and is expected to hit shelves soon!

Over the past few months we have seen a few leaked photos of the Newman K18, but these are the first renders and full specification details of the new phone!

As we near the official MT6592 date of launch, more and more manufacturers seem keen on having the very chipset in one of their own devices!

Another addition to the list of manufacturers working on MT6592 phones is Newman. Spy photos of the Newman K18 have emerged which depict a Sony Xperia Z inspired smartphone in stealth black!

Newman are better known for their Android smartphones, but they also have a range of tablets including the likes of the new Newpad F7 with built-in 3G.
