Nothing has
rolled out a new software update for the
Nothing Phone (3). The latest build, labelled Nothing
OS V3.5-250911-2112, brings a mix of camera and battery upgrades. The update also comes with general fixes that improve the overall performance of the device.
Sharper
Photos and Smoother Controls
With the new update, users of this device will notice sharper images when using Zoom. The company upgrades the AI SuperRes Zoom algorithm, which makes text in images sharper.
Action
Mode has also been fine-tuned to cut down on noisy grains, which should result
in clearer shots during movement. Adjusting brightness through the
exposure slider is now smoother and easier to control.
A bug that caused weird
colour tints in some scenes has been fixed. Therefore, users should now get more
natural and balanced photos. The company also adds some upgrades to the camera's Video recording.
It comes with better contrast and lower haze, which should make the videos look more vibrant. The
improvement of the camera is expected to function in third-party apps. This will make photos more consistent across different platforms.
Fixes
Across the System
The update goes beyond the camera.
Nothing has worked on small but noticeable tweaks across the system. The
accuracy of the
Always-on Glyph Toys when displayed in multi-user mode has
increased. The issue of duplicated contact avatars when creating important
notification rules has been dealt with.
A host of other fixes were made for haptics in Generative mode previews. It brings better title alignment in Arabic
settings and an improved interface for Bluetooth device recording. These fixes may not seem like much, but they are important in the daily use of
the device.
Better
Battery and Performance
The battery upgrade ensures that the drain in some scenarios is cut down, especially during heavy usage that causes the phone to heat up. These major changes should make the
Nothing Phone (3) stay cooler and last
longer.
There is also an upgrade to the
Wi-Fi connectivity and general
network stability. The update also promises
smoother performance and stronger overall system stability.
Staggered
Rollout
As usual with Nothing, the rollout
will be gradual. Not all Phone (3) owners will receive the update at the same
time. The company has also noted that devices may temporarily heat up and use
more power while the update is being installed. However, things should return to normal after the process is complete.
With sharper photos, better battery
management, and a string of useful fixes, the latest update shows Nothing’s
continued effort to refine the Phone (3) experience.
