Oppo Find X9 Velvet Color Red Color Enters India After Strong Interest

Oppo introduced the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro in India last week, both arriving with two color options at launch. Now, after seeing “high consumer interest and strong demand for a more expressive colour option,” the company has added a new Velvet Red finish to the Oppo Find X9 lineup. This isn't a surprise, after all, the Velved Red Color certainly was the most unique tone when compared to the other options. Some users would prefer the stunning and unique variant rather than the conventional one.

The Velvet Red edition comes in a single 12GB/256GB variant priced at INR 74,999 ($840/€725). This is sad news for those waiting for this color with the highest configuration. The sales will begin on December 8 through Oppo’s official Indian site, Flipkart, and major offline retailers.

Oppo Find X9 Velvet Red Color Option Reaches India

Peter Dohyung Lee, Oppo’s Head of Product Strategy, said the series is off to a strong start in India. According to him, the Find X9 line recorded more than triple the growth of the previous generation in its first week. He added that Velvet Red aims to extend that momentum by offering a bold and instantly recognizable color for users who want something more expressive.

Aside from the new color, all specs remain unchanged. The Velvet Red model matches the Titanium Grey and Space Black versions already on sale in India, which are offered in both 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB options.

As for the Oppo Find X9 Pro, it is available in Silk White and Titanium Charcoal, sold in a single 16GB/512GB configuration at INR 109,999 ($1,230/€1,060).

We can't say if the new color was planned since the start, but its arrival certainly will reach a particular demand for the most unique color tone. It is worth noting that Oppo is also planning the launch of an Ultra variant and a compact Oppo Find X9s. We expect these devices to hit India in the future.
