Oppo has just announced it will reveal its Oppo Pad Air 5 tablet on December 25. Ahead of the launch, the brand has revealed some details about it. These confirmed details include the design, which can be seen through a couple of images. There are just a few days left, and considering the teasers, the brand is confident enough to share its specs ahead of the launch.

Oppo Pad Air 5 Has Some of Its Specs Teased

The Oppo Pad Air 5 boasts a "2.8K" resolution screen. We don't know exactly the numbers that compose this resolution, but it should be around the QHD+ territory. We expect a crisp resolution, while the tablet seems to fit in the large-screen tablet territory. To keep lights on, the device has a huge 10,050mAh battery. Judging by the image, we have a very sleek tablet. It will sell in Wi-Fi-only and 5G variants. There will be three RAM/Storage options with 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB.

The new tablet will sell in two specific colors: Starlight Pink and Space Grey. Oppo is making some noise around its Pink variant, but if you prefer a more subdued finish, then you will be covered with the regular Gray variant. The brand is already taking reservations for the Oppo Paid Air in China. Those who opt for this route will receive a free case worth CNY 99 ($14) as well as a free smart stylus, valued at approximately CNY 299 ($42).

It Might Be a Rebadged OnePlus Pad Go 2

According to reports, the Oppo Pad Air 5 will be a rebadged OnePlus Pad Go 2, which launched recently in other markets. If that's the case, the tablet will feature a 12.1-inch LCD 2.8K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will have a Dimensity 7300 Ultra CPU, and the 10,050mAh battery will charge with 33W charging. It wouldn't be a surprise if the brand goes through the rebranding treatment.
The device will have a pair of 8 MP cameras on both front and rear. It will also come with a quad-speaker setup for an immersive audio experience. The device will include face unlock for biometric authentication. The Oppo Pad Air 5 will be a successor to the Oppo Pad Air 2. It launched back in 2023. To recall, the Oppo Pad Air 2 was also a rebadged version of the OnePlus Pad Go that launched in some markets outside China.
