We’re not sure what has come over Doogee recently, but their newest phones are starting to actually seem like good value. Are Doogee finally being generous with their phone specifications?
The Doogee S6000 is a phone we have spoken about once before, and we were pretty impressed when we first heard about it. Sure the design is a rip off of the Xiaomi Mi Note, but we can’t expect a leopard to change its spots overnight.
What the S6000 does represent (on paper at least) is pretty good value for money. At only $139.99 (that's the recommended international reseller price) the phone boasts a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D display, 6000mAh battery, Mediatek’s PumpExpress Plus fast charging (good for a 75% charge in just 30min) a screen to body ratio of 75% and a thickness of just 9mm.
Processing power comes from a Mediatek MT6735 chipset running at 1.5Ghz, that also means LTE will be part of the feature list. Doogee originally announced the phone would have 1GB RAM but have now switched to a much more generous 2GB RAM.
Overall the specs and design (although a clone) look very good for the money, but the proof of the pudding is in the tasting and we will reserve final judgement when (if) we eventually get to try the Doogee S6000.
