Google's SVP possibly testing a mid-range Pixel 3a; could be released soon

Google's Pixel 3a and Pixel 3A XL have been a staple of the rumour mill for a long time (very long time). Hence it isn't a surprise that people are getting quite impatient with Google for their release. However, a launch might not be far, as a tweet by Hiroshi Lockheimer, Google's Senior Vice President of Android, hinted yesterday (via PhoneArena)

As the Google SVP's post mentioned, Mr Lockheimer captured images with an unreleased Google phone and he was not supposed to be sharing them with the public. The post came after he visited Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard's office from the 60s. It's probable that this phone with which he took pictures is his daily driver and is being tested for real-life scenarios. And since the Pixel 4 is a bit far off, the Pixel 3a or Pixel 3a XL is our best guess right now. If these presumptions are correct, then we can expect a launch of the mid-range Pixels shortly.

The Pixel 3a duo comes as toned-down versions of their flagship counterparts with mid-range processors and polycarbonate bodies as well as a lower price tag. However, the twins will be able to maintain the status quo with the same camera quality as the Pixel 3 flagships. There's still no official word on the launch of the two devices.
