Nuu X3 is Hong Kong's entry for the entry-level LTE phone war

Hong Kong's Nuu Mobile announced today the Nuu X3, which is a rather entry-level phone but with 4G LTE capabilities.

The phone is powered by a quad-core, 1.2GHz processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) and has a rather austere 1GB of RAM with 8GB of storage on board, which can be expanded via microSD. It also has a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 pixel qHD display and a camera segment consisting of an 8 mega-pixel rear sensor and a 2 mega-pixel front.

It runs Android v4.4 KitKat, but if the company is to be believed, a Lollipop ROM would soon be making its way for the device. A 2000mAh battery provides juice to the aforementioned internals. The highlight however remains to be 4G LTE support, which the device supports on bands 2,4,17.

The Nuu X3 will come in Black and White for US$179.99 unlocked. It will be available via a few channels including Amazon, BestBuy, Target.com and more.
