The
Oppo Finder 3 might be over a year old, but at 6.65mm it is still one of the thinnest phones on the market, the
new Oppo R809T at 6.13mm will make the even the Finder look fat.
News of the Oppo
R809T surfaced a
few days ago along with a side on photo claiming a thickness of just 6.13mm, a
few days on and we get a first look at the front of the
new phone. As you can see the design is very similar to the original
Oppo Finder 3, even the
specification isn't far off.
The front of the
R809T has a 4.5-inch 720p
display which doesn't have the narrow bezel styling we have come to expect from
new Chinese phones. Squeezed in to the
ultra-thin body there is a
quad-core MT6589 CPU, 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
According to sources close to Oppo the new phone will launch on the 26th April at the rather high price of 2498 Yuan ($403) which isn't that much cheaper than the flagship Oppo Find 5 which bests this skinny smartphone in just about every way!
Superthin phones might look great, but we prefer the price/
specification of regular
Android phone for now!
