India's Smart Namo is all set to join other domestic manufacturers in Micromax, Intex, etc. on the
octa-core smartphone war with the launch of the
Wave S1 and Wave S2 smartphones!
The
Wave S1 and Wave S2 are basically identical, save for the RAM amount. While the
Wave S1 comes with 1GB RAM, the Wave S2 packs double the amount, i.e.,
2GB. Both variants feature a 5-inch 1280 x
720p screen which falls short of what Micromax is offering with the recently launched
Micromax Canvas Knight. Other specifications of the
Wave S1 and S2 include an
octa-core MediaTek
MT6592 processor operating at 1.7GHz, 16GB of on-board storage, a 2800mAh battery and an imaging department comprising an 8 mega-pixel rear shooter and a 2 mega-pixel front.
Both, the Wave S1 and Wave S2 are scheduled to go on sale soon via ecommerce giant Snapdeal, with price tags of Rs. 16,000 and Rs. 18,000 for the Wave S1 and Wave S2 respectively. Smart Namo is infamous for delays in shipments, which makes it impossible to ascertain how long it will take them to bring the two devices in the market.
