POCO, the legendary sub-brand behind some of Xiaomi's greatest successes, is expected to launch two new mid-range phones globally: the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max. Both devices have already appeared in certification databases and benchmark listings, and a new leak now reveals their design in multiple colors. If you think these devices are familiar, it's because they really are. Both are expected to come as rebadged Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max.

The first renders shared online by @passionategeekz show both models in black, white, and blue. The overall design looks very similar on both phones, featuring a pill-shaped camera module with a dual-camera setup. The design is similar to last year's POCO X7 Pro, keeping the identity.

One small visual difference between the two is the flash system. The POCO X8 Pro Max appears to include a dual LED flash, while the standard POCO X8 Pro uses a single LED. From the front, the two devices look nearly identical, with slim bezels and a centered punch-hole display.

POCO X8 Pro and Pro Max Specifications

According to the leaked specs, the POCO X8 Pro Max will come with a large 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and high brightness. It is rumored to be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chip, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The camera setup may include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front camera.
Other expected features include dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings. The device may not repeat the 9000mAh battery seen in the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. However, its battery capacity should stay above 8000mAh.
The POCO X8 Pro is expected to feature a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may run on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra and use a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS. The device is also tipped to pack a 6,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging and reverse charging support.
Both phones are expected to ship with Android 16 and HyperOS 3 out of the box, although the official launch date has not yet been confirmed.
There is still no official launch date, but it won't take much longer, considering the number of leaks popping out. As we've said above, these devices will be the global counterparts of both Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. So, their specs are mostly the same, with a few presumable cuts in the battery capacity to comply with certain global rules.
