Redmi is expected to launch its next
big flagship series soon. This first launch will take place in China. The
company has officially confirmed that the Redmi K90 series will make its debut
later this month, moving up the release from the originally planned November
window.
A New Addition to the Lineup
For the first time, Redmi will
introduce a Pro Max version in
the K-series. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing announced the move on Weibo,
describing the upcoming model as a “true flagship.” This addition marks a shift
in Redmi’s strategy, suggesting the brand wants to push deeper into the premium
smartphone category while still maintaining its performance-for-value appeal.
Lineup Changes and Pricing
This time around, Redmi might drop the usual Pro model
altogether. From what’s been shared so far, the regular K90 will be the base
version, while the K90 Pro Max will sit at the top of the lineup. Redmi has
confirmed that the Pro Max version will start at over CNY 4000 (around $560).
It is one of the most expensive devices ever in the K-series lineup.
