Since the
Redmi Turbo 5 Max got confirmed, the brand has been teasing it fiercely. However, it is worth noting that this fancier variant won't come alone. There will be a vanilla
Redmi Turbo 5 that won't disappoint consumers. Today, it passed the
Geekbench benchmark, confirming a powerful chipset
will be in tow.
Redmi Turbo 5 Confirmed With Dimensity 8500
The first rumors suggested the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series chip in the
Redmi Turbo 5. Today, it was basically confirmed by the Geekbench benchmark. The vanilla variant was spotted with the all-new
Dimensity 8500 SoC. This is the replacement for the Dimensity 8400 SoC seen in the
Redmi Turbo 4 variant. This chipset was announced less than a week ago and promises improved performance and efficiency compared to its predecessor.
The
Redmi Turbo 5 passed by Geekbench with the aforementioned CPU and had a good overall score. This CPU scores 1594 in the Single Core tests and 6686 in the Multi-Core department. The phone was paired with 16 GB of RAM and has the model number 2511FRT34C. Unsurprisingly, this prototype has Android 16. We expect the phone to run Android 16-based
HyperOS 3 straight out of the box.
