Samsung may have a smart way to make the
Galaxy S27 Ultra charge faster. The phone is rumored to keep the same 60W wired charging as the Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, a new charging system could help it use that power for longer.
According to tipsters
WalleGalaxy and
kro_roe, the S27 Ultra could stay close to 55–56W for more time during the first part of charging. This could make the phone charge around 2–3% faster overall than the S26 Ultra.
A bigger battery is also coming
This is more interesting because Samsung is also expected to give the S27 Ultra a larger battery. Earlier leaks point to a capacity of around 5,700mAh. That would be a clear step up from the 5,000mAh battery inside the S26 Ultra.
Normally, a bigger battery needs more time to charge. Samsung may be trying to avoid that by improving the way the phone manages power. I think this makes more sense than simply adding more watts and creating extra heat.
AI could fix lens flare
Samsung may also have a solution for another problem that has affected its cameras for years: lens flare.
Bright lights can sometimes create unwanted reflections in photos. This is easy to notice when taking pictures of street lights, sunsets or bright signs at night. The S27 Ultra is now rumored to use AI to remove these effects after a photo has been taken. The software could detect the unwanted reflections and clean them up automatically.
The tipsters claim that early tests have already shown strong results, with the lens flare almost completely removed. Samsung may also improve highlight control and make its colors look warmer and more natural.
A more polished Ultra
The
Galaxy S27 Ultra is still far from its expected early 2027 launch, so these details are not confirmed yet.
Still, I like the direction Samsung seems to be taking. A bigger battery, better charging control and AI camera tools could improve the phone in ways that users will notice every day. The company does not need to chase huge charging numbers if it can make its existing 60W system work better.
