We've successfully reached the final quarter of 2026, and the
rumors are
already spreading about the
Samsung Galaxy S27 series. The next batch of Samsung flagships is coming early next year with some upgrades. However, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will keep the same screen design.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Keeps the Display's Design With Technology Upgrades
As per the tipster, IceUniverse, who shared a couple of Galaxy S27 Ultra screen protectors, the phone's screen design is nearly identical and perhaps interchangeable with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The tipster further states that this "may be the smallest change in front display between two consecutive Ultra flagships in Samsung's history".
As far as the display is concerned, the reports state that the new Galaxy S27 Ultra will adopt the next-generation M16 OLED display. This technology already made its debut with the
iQOO 16, and it advertises up to 10,000 nits peak local brightness and 2,800 nits peak global brightness. The M16 also brings better power efficiency and improved color accuracy.
Moving on, the
Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is also rumored to come with a new 16MP selfie camera.
In the end, Samsung is bringing new technology and a new camera to the same form factor. As a result, users can expect a 6.9-inch Screen with 3,120 x 1,440 pixels resolution. The phone will also come with the Privacy Display feature, which was one of the phone's biggest innovations.

A Bigger Battery and New Camera Design
Fortunately, despite the same form factor and likely the same size, the
Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is reportedly increasing the battery size. Samsung is improving the energy density of the cell, fitting more capacity into the same footprint.
The big change, however, might be a
new camera island on the back of the phone. Rumors suggest we will see a large camera island that takes up almost the entire width of the phone's back. Despite this approach, the cameras will still take up the left portion of the island.
There are still a couple of months ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S27 series reveal. So we expect many other leaks to surface in the near future.
