Samsung has just
unveiled the Samsung ViewFinity S8, it's the brand's first ever 37-inch monitor, and joins the ViewFinity S8 lineup. It sits between the already available 32-inch and the 43-inch models. The device's goal is to offer "outstanding readability, an optimal viewing distance and a comfortable field of view", the company confirmed this through its
official press release.
Samsung ViewFinity S8 is a Large UHD Display with Ergonomic Workspace Display Certification
The 37-inch monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio. Compared to the 32-inch version, Samsung says the extra five inches give more space while keeping UHD resolution sharp. Even with the same display settings, text looks larger than on the 32-inch model. It makes details easier to see and information quicker to grasp. It's a great experience for different ways of use.
TÜV Rheinland has certified the 37-inch ViewFinity S8 as an Ergonomic Workspace Display. This recognizes a design that reduces visual fatigue during tasks like text editing or documentation and improves focus. It also brings Intelligent Eye Care, which lowers blue light and flicker reducing eye strain.
USB-C Port With 90W Output, Built-in LAN Port and More
The Samsung ViewFinity S8 features a built-in keyboard, video, and mouse switch. It helps you to control two devices with a single set of peripherals. It supports picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes for multitasking. For example, a laptop and a smartphone can each use one side of the display as a separate screen.
The Samsung ViewFinity S8 also has a USB-C port with 90W charging capabilities for external devices, along with a built-in LAN port. The Easy Setup Stand is designed for quick installation in about ten seconds without tools or screws. The height-adjustable stand supports tilt and swivel to find the optimal viewing angle.
Gaming Version Included
Samsung is also offering a 37-inch gaming version, the Odyssey G7. It comes with a 1000R curved screen, 4K UHD resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it has a 1ms GTG response time to deliver an immersive large-screen gaming experience. In the end, Samsung now has two 37-inch Displays, which certainly makes it interesting for those who wanted a model between 32 and 43 inches.
