This feature will only be enabled if your computer is plugged in and you are getting regional carbon intensity data from Microsoft's partners electricMap or WattTime. If enabled, users will see on the Windows Update settings page that Windows Update is committed to helping reduce carbon emissions. it's a small step, but it's interesting to see Microsoft doing this. Hopefully, this feature will be available to users soon and do its part for the planet.
