Android tablets might be great for everyday personal use, and the range of excellent productivity tools available on the now No. 1 mobile operating system make it them a perfect choice for business users, but up until now Android on tablets has lacked one very important feature most business users require. The ability to encrypt personal data to prevent data theft.
Thankfully Engadget have found an encryption option on Motorola's Xoom tablet which runs Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb.
Encrypting and securing your data takes about an hour, and it’s not been confirmed it the encryption will slow your tablets performance or drain your battery quicker, but Google have confirmed that the option is not a Motorola exclusive and will be available on other 3.0 tablets.
