The
iPad might be the king of
tablet town now, but some experts predict that
Apple could loose their dominant position in the
tablet market as early as
2012!
Sascha Pallenberg, an expert on technology and
market shares, states that due to just the sheer numbers of manufacturers releasing
Android tablets over the next few months
Apple will loose its huge
market lead.
As it stands
Apple enjoy almost 90% of the
tablet market with an estimated 9 out of every 10 tablets sold being either an
iPad or the newer
iPad 2, but as
competition grows Apple’s grip will undoubtedly slip, and so (hopefully) will
tablet prices.
One of Apple’s major advantages over the majority of
Android tablets is price. It seems as if no one can match the
iPad maker on value for money! but as more tablets are released and the
market hots up we should see
Apple getting price matched and possibly even undercut!
