Apple might be gearing up to launch the
iPad mini 2 with rumoured
quad-core processor and higher
price tag, but we don't need it as the
Cube U35GT gives
us similar styling,
quad-core power, and the flexibility of
Android at an affordable price right now!
Chinese
tablet maker
Cube produce some of the nicest Retina display Android tablets currently on the market, but not everyone is interested in buying a 9.7+ -inch
tablet and lugging it about on their travels, so Cube have
launched the 7.85-inch Cube U35GT
mini tablet.
Cube have decided to go down the "if it isn't broke don't fix it" route to designing the U35GT and have stuck to an iPad mini style body with alloy rear case, but have removed the physical home button and added expansion ports for an SD card reader, Micro USB, and mini HDMI.
A front facing camera is included, but no rear, which personally suits
us better as our current phone cameras are better than a
tablet for taking photos anyway. Under the 202 x 135 x 8mm exterior is a 4000mAh battery (good for up to 6 hours use), 16GB ROM, 1GB RAM and a 1.6Ghz
quad-core Rockchip RK3188
CPU!
The
Cube U35GT is on sale now for $189.98 though online reseller Lightake.com.
