Plans for
China’s third center we’re unveiled earlier today. The computing center will be located in and will become the home of the now legendary Tianhe-1a which officially became the worlds fastest super computer last month.
Once up and running the Tianhe-1a, located on the campus of Hunan University will join the 8 other computing centers around the world which compute at the quadrillion-level.
The current national computing centers are in Tinajin and
Shenzhen, the third Hunan based center is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.
