With just a few weeks until the WCDMA version of the Snapdragon 800
Xiaomi Mi3 goes
on sale,
rumours have started circling that a ‘youth’ version of the
phone may also be offered with S600
chipset!
Xiaomi kicked off the idea of offering a ‘youth’ version of it’s
flagship phone a few years ago with the
launch of the
M1 Youth. Basically the idea is to take the
flagship model, replace a few of the parts with lower spec/cheaper alternatives and offer it at a slightly lower price.
Rumours today suggest the the
Xiaomi Mi3 may spawn a ‘youth’ version which will be powered by a
Snapdragon 600 chipset, there will likely be other differences too to help reduce the price but at the time of writing details are not known!
