OrientPhone i9500S a No.1 S6 and Galaxy S4 alternative with gesture controls

The latest OrientPhone i9500S is here and like the No. 1 S6 and more famous Samsung Galaxy S4, this 5-inch Android phone boasts high performance and gesture controls!

OrientPhone (the OEM brand for Orientdeal) have recently launched the i9500S, a self-proclaimed Samsung Galaxy S4 alternative and a rival to the much-anticipated No.1 S6!

The main selling feature of the i9500S is it’s own gesture controls which let you interact and navigate the phone without actually having to touch it! Flicking though your home screens, widgets, applications and photo can be achieved by simply waving your hand left or right above the phone. Answering an incoming call can is initiated in much the same way.

Gizchina News of the week

Personally I don’t see what the problem is with just touch the screen by lowering your hand a few inches towards the display, but thankfully that isn’t all the i9500S has to offer.

The 7.9mm phone also boasts a decent 5-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display, 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 which is good for scoring up 13,170 to on Antutu.

OrientPhone i9500S hands on review

Why did they use an actual Galaxy S4 with a piece of yellow tape covering the Samsung logo. I was wondering about the legitimacy of the Orientdeal website. I guess they are not trustworthy so will not be buying anything of them. Its a shame as I was considering buying the Firefly v65 from them. I noticed that android-sale pulled the same tape over the logo move on youtube.
Abbie – do you know anything about this seller or do they just sponsor these announcements unscrutinised?

Hello Chris i orientdeal tend to be well taked here in gizchina, and i have an experience in this store i bought the orient N2 phone (noto 2 look a like), and they are very nice with costumers!!

    • July 15, 2013

I have dealt with them quite a lot and they have been really helpful. The phone in the video is in fact the Orient Phone however early samples of these and the No1 S6 were manufactured with Samsung logos on. You’ll see that a lot of hands on videos show the phone with tape covering the Samsung logo so they don’t get in trouble. Production versions of the i9500S don’t have a Samsung Logo though.

        Thats it andy…
It is normal if you view de android-inide videos (boots wong chanell in youtube), you will see the same thing logo covered by tape.
I think im saying the correct informtion…

I didn’t know that. I suspected foul play. Thank you for the explanation. Why is the multiwindow button on the left of the screen present on the taped phone but not the newer ones? Do the clones support multiwindow?

        • July 15, 2013

Probably the taped version is the engenier version, and the not taped versions is the new devices well prepared to sales i think…

Many retailers have the engenier version in first hand, to see if it is a good product for sales and do the complete battery of tests and if the product proof to be good for sale they prepare a new request for more units to put on sale thats way you see the taped version…

The newer version are the ON SALES version you know so probably the taped version is the TEST version and the newer the fix and clean version..

          I think is that!!!

Not bad! However, I’d like an S4 clone to have Samsung logos. And I’m pretty sure this one does 😉

    • July 15, 2013

Dont try to do that you know the brand registratin rights so if you try to buy one with logo you will get in trouble because customs is very restrict to the preservation of owned rights of each brand, and if you buy one you risk yourself to loose your money ecause if the device stops in customs for check you can say goodbay to the device and to the money…
So my advice is to think smart, because i bought ans No.1 s6 and the orientphone i9500s to do a comparation and i will put the two in my online shop, (i cant mension my shop)

So i hope i was helpfull!!!

What is the difference between the S6 and NO1 this phone? This phone that you are advertising, it is in cases of original S4? Ie, the size of it is identical to s4? And it comes with sansung logo on front and back?

  7. July 16, 2013

Just buy both and you’ll be convinced which the best is i guess!

      July 20, 2013

Buying both would cost you near the price of an actual Galaxy S4
      Lol.

      • July 21, 2013

I dont think so, because in orientdeal this one in the pos costs 219 USD but they give a coupon if yoyu see in comments.
The No.1 S6 costs all most the same in android-inside is 214USD joiunt the price of the two and you got 433 USD so at least you pay 500/600 USD.Plus taxes VAT and others depending on the country, so i think for testing and do a comparative test i think its worth the cost of the two!!!
