Apple's AI Lawsuit Payout: How to Claim Your Cash

Apple has opened the claims period for a new $250 million settlement tied to Siri, and iPhone owners can now apply for a payout! The claim window opened today, September 21, and runs through December 21, 2026.

This case is different from an unrelated Siri privacy settlement from 2025. This lawsuit focuses on Apple Intelligence and the AI features Apple promoted before the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 launches. The lawsuit claims Apple advertised Siri upgrades that were not ready at launch. It also says buyers may have purchased the phones because of these features, only for them to arrive much later or not at all.

To get a payout, a person must have bought one of the eligible iPhone models in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, and the purchase must not have been for resale. So to anynone lucky enough to do that, congratulations you can get some free money!

People can expect between $25 and $95 for each qualifying device. The final payout will depend on how many valid claims are submitted. Fewer claims could mean a payout closer to the $95 maximum, and more claims could push the amount closer to the $25 minimum.

But just so you know, no payments can be issued until the hearing concludes and any appeals are resolved, so anyone filing a claim today should expect a wait, not an immediate payout.

Both individuals and businesses can file a claim. For businesses, someone authorized to confirm the company's purchases must submit the form.
