iPhone 5S fingerprint scanner is named Touch ID

Ctechcn have managed to scoop more details about the iPhone 5S and it’s new fingerprint scanner feature.

These images come from the iPhone 5s instruction manual. Many of the features of the iPhone you will be already familiar with but one feature is new (yes, just one) and that’s the fingerprint scanner home button. According to the booklet the this new security scanner has been named Touch ID and will feature a silver ring around its outer edge.

Other images show instructions on how to power the iPhone 5S on and warnings on usage. Ctechcn also posted this video of the iPhone 5C yesterday along with these specifications for the iPhone 5S.
