$50 gets you the quad-core Elephone G1, yes internationally!

elephone g1

What another new Elephone phone? Yes, the Elephone G1 is another smartphone from the fast growing phone company and their first to sell for less than $50 internationally!

Elephone don’t seem to be able to go a week without launching a new smartphone, however most current phones are more unique in design than last years OPO clones and the like, suggesting that they are maturing with their ever expanding fanbase.

All Elephone phones have been affordable, but none so wallet friendly as the Elephone G1 which is on pre-sale for $49.99, that’s an international retail price!

Gizchina News of the week

For less than $50 you can’t expect too much from the Elephone G1, which has a surprisingly pleasing design available in black, white, blue and pink. What Elephone do offer though is a quad-core processor, 5 mega-pixel rear camera, dual WCDMA 3G SIM, micro SD card memory slot and compact 4.5-inch display.

Elephone will be targeting customers who just want something to keep them connected while on the go and look good, or those users who like to have a decent back-up phone on stand-by.

Unlike any other Elephones released lately, this phone will actually support 3g in the U.S. with the wcdma 850/2100 frequencies. And in the states, it’s hard to find a phone under $100 bucks with 4.4.2. I’m thinking about this one for my wife who just needs a phone and couldn’t care less about android or anything else.

I had the same thoughts, even thought I’m living in Europe, not for my wife but for my mother! 😀

Check the Leagoo Lead 3. I remember it’s support more American WCDMA bands (850, 2100 plus 1900) and have similar specs and price.

Check out the Thl 4000 for under 100 bucks. It also supports all worldwide 3g frequencies.

Please make a version that has 1 gb RAM and 8 GB rom for $65. That would be best!

Battery: 1800 mAh. The Jiayu F1 has 50% more capacity plus half an inch less screen. That said, this is way more “sexy”. Difficult choice… :/

Jiayu F1 has a slower CPU, but it`s built is far better, also pack gorilla glass and larger battery. who cares if it does not have Android 4.4.2, it`s still the better phone.

Yeah, as if my father is going to upgrade, hehe 😉

I didn’t know it had Gorilla glass… that’s neat! I am more than probably buying one for Chinese New Year holidays.

I was looking for a cheap back-up phone used also as a mp3player. With 1 Gb of ram I would’ve been very tempted… Any suggestion?

You should look at the Jiayu G2F. It is a beast of a phone! I made the stupid mistake of letting a “friend” try it, ask me where it is now! I am going to have to go through great lengths to retrieve it. Simply put, it is very good!
