Xiaomi Note: Alleged image of Xiaomi’s new flagship with pricing

xiaomi note

Get you pinches of salt at the ready as alleged pricing and images of the Xiaomi Note have been published in China.

Xiaomi will release a flagship phone in just a few days, in fact we think they are going to launch 2 devices, one of which will be a flagship phablet, bigger and thinner than any previous Xiaomi phone.

There is an understandable amount of excitement about the Xiaomi launch, the first big Chinese release of 2015! And as with any such launch purported leaks and teasers have been seen tow.

Gizchina News of the week

This evenings latest is an alleged render of a phablet device similar in design to the current Mi4. Named simply the Xiaomi Note the phone says it comes with OIS, HIFI audio and MIUI V6.

Sounds about right to us, but the price seems a little over the top for a Xiaomi phone even one that is designed to a higher standard than previous phones. 2500 Yuan perhaps but not 3499 Yuan.

What do you guys think of this ‘leak”

Lenovo did it with the vibe z pro, google with the nexus 6, so why not xiaomi?

If it comes with the best hardware on board the price is still right. That’s the same price of vivo xshot. If they put the same camera, maybe a snapdragon 810 or even 805 with 4GB of ram then we should not consider it overpriced. If it doesn’t come with the best hardware to date then yes, 3500 CNY is way too much!

Xiaomi is famous because the price is cheap, but the hardware specs are still great. Not sure how many people would buy a phone that costs more than 600 USD dollar (if you include resellers margin) even if the specs are great.

I think the price is totally believable if they get the hardware right. Where most brands have cheaper sub-brands (UINI, Honor etc) there isn’t really any way for Xiaomi to bring the cost down any further whilst producing a better handset! If they keep the price the same they will hurt sales of MI4 and Redmi phones, as said elsewhere a SD810 or similar, probably 2K screen, good audio etc and it will open up a new area of the market for them where Vivo/Oppo usually occupy but hopefully at a slightly better price point!

      It’s nothing about cost.

Cost of 1GB RAM is about $5, 1GB NAND memory $0.4 maybe even less.

Snapdragon 805 and 810’s cost should not be so much different Snapdragon 800’s at Mi3’s launch date.

@Andi Skyes the price is just right the company has to make some money otherwise they will be giving them away. There is no way that you were going to get it for what is £266 converted you need to start living in the really world especially if it is going to have the specs that have leaked and toted

judging from the DPI, it looks like a 7″ tablet than a phone.

BS. They are trying to raise their prices.

Xiaomi owe it’s rapid growth prices for specs.

Their base model should be 1999 yuan as always.

If it’s as good as the Vivo Xshot, I don’t see why not. Sure, they’ll lose some customers, but if it guarantees that the phone will be top notch then I’m fine with it.
