The tough little UMi Hammer gets a sweet Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the 64bit quad-core.
The UMi Hammer ships with Kitkat out of the box but with 2GB RAM and a 64bit chip the phone was begging to be given an Android Lollipop update. The wait hasn’t been all that long, and already Android 5.1 is available.

Unlike other companies who have OTA updates set up, UMi have their own RootJoy PC tool for updating and installing ROMs on their phones. Android 5.1 hasn’t made its way in to the RootJoy database yet though so you will need to download the update manually from the UMi forums before updating with the tool.
So far there are no bugs mentioned on the forums but like all updates make sure you backup your phone before attempting the update.
