OPPO started the stable rollout of ColorOS 17 on October 8, 2026. The new
software is based on
Android 17 and, this time, the update covers devices from
OPPO, OnePlus and realme. The reason is simple. OnePlus is moving from
OxygenOS to
ColorOS 17. And realme is also moving away from its own realme UI software in favor of
ColorOS.
Owners of eligible devices will receive Android 17 through ColorOS 17. The update brings a new Fluid Design, updated animations and changes to memory management.
ColorOS 17: The First Wave Targets New Flagships
The first wave includes the foldable OPPO Find N6 and the Find X9 series, including versions with satellite communication. The update will also arrive on the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15T and realme GT8 Pro. Even including the Aston Martin F1 Edition.
The first wave mainly focuses on newer and more powerful devices. Owners of older phones will have to wait longer, as OPPO is rolling out the update in several batches.
The October Wave Includes Phones, Tablets and Smartwatches
The second wave starts on October 16. It includes the OPPO Find N5, the Find X8 series, and the OPPO Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini tablets.
The update will also reach the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13T and OnePlus Pad 3 Pro. On the realme side, the GT7 Pro, GT7 Pro Racing Edition, GT8 and Neo8 are included.
On October 20, the update will reach the OPPO Watch X3 and X3 Mini, along with the OnePlus Ace 6 series. OPPO Reno16 and Reno16 Pro are scheduled for October 22, while the Watch X2 and X2 Mini will follow on October 30.
The schedule also includes smartwatches, showing how ColorOS is becoming a more unified platform across OPPO, OnePlus and realme devices.
Most Older Devices Will Get the Update in November and December
A lot more devices should be coming in November and December. The November rollout includes models like the Find X7, Find N3, Reno15 and Reno14 series, as well as the OnePlus 12.
In December, the update will reach devices including the Find X6, OnePlus 11 and realme GT6. The OPPO Find N2 and Find N2 Flip foldables are scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Overall, the schedule covers around 90 models and variants, including phones, tablets and smartwatches.
You should know, that this schedule applies only to China. OPPO has not yet announced international release dates, so it is unclear how long other regions will have to wait after the Chinese rollout.
The dates also mark the start of the stable rollout, not the date when every device will receive the update. OPPO may also change the schedule during development. International users will have to wait for more details about when ColorOS 17 will reach their devices.
