After tasting success with low-cost hardware, a lot of up and coming Chinese brands are shifting their focus to providing decent after-sales support.

This doesn’t just involve addressing customers’ complaints, but also encompasses software.

To look after that, these brands often have a software team working on variousĀ ROMs for their phones. Years after its inception, CyanogenMod still happens to be one of the favourite aftermarket ROMs, and the Oukitel K4000 Pro is on the verge of getting one.

This info comes thanks to some sneak peek photos of the phone running CyanogenMod 13.

The ROM is still in its nascent stages, but the devs are working on ironing out the bugs. For now, GPS isn’t working as it should, while features like WiFi, Bluetooth and hardware acceleration have already been implemented.

Stay tuned, the Oukitel K4000 Pro CyanogenMod 13 ROM should be available for download soon.

Not only the black bezels around the display, but also the bottom bezel are waaaay to big. This phone has a worse screen2body ratio than some HTC phones
