I know some of you are really interested to learn more about this device, since the first leaked information about it appeared over the internet. Today we have something better than vague information however. We might have a first look atĀ Andy Rubin’s Essential phone!
According to rumors, the device appeared recently on a new ad video for Michelin tires, but only for a split second at 0:07. If you don’t want to Play/Pause all the time however, we already cropped the photo for you above as you can see.

If you have a good look, the purported device that the woman holds has rounded top corners – but not bottom ones. So this excludes the Xiaomi Mi MIX model (it has 4 rounded corners) and theĀ Sharp Aquos Crystal as well! After all theĀ thin, button-less bottom basically rules out most current tri-bezel less smartphones. Oh and since we’re looking there, don’t miss the 3 holes on the bottom, perhaps forĀ USB, loudspeaker and a headphone jack?
So maybe this is indeedĀ Andy Rubin’s Essential phone? A phone that the former Google co-owner recently hinted that he was working on? What do you think?
