10 inch Macbook Mini Netbook

Don’t get to excited this isn’t quite the 12 inch Powerbook replacement many of us have been waiting for, but instead a rather tastefully done netbook.
This atom powered ultraportable sports all the usual netbook features with added style such as the chiclet style keyboard and black bezel around it’s 10 inch screen.
Expect to pay around 2500RMB for the 1.66ghz 160Gb model.

you do realize that this is a clone, and that it has windows logos on the keyboard right?

    Hello Andi!

I am a big dreamer, and unfortunately I do not speak ‘computer-tech’, so hopefully you can translate what I am asking here. haha… 🙂

I have a 10″ acer one netbook and I love it, except the problems with virus and software updates that come along with the windows os.

So my dream is to have a hackbook…a 10″ mac os with respectable
power and speed and memory (i’ve heard of duocore being fast, but
whatever the rage is these days for speedy processing – I want it!). I like to play around with movie editing and music creation and artwork, and I have a tendency to max out laptops quickly (shut down/freeze-maybe trying to get it to handle too much info or something). My hd is something like 160gb, and I’d like that or bigger (hahaha).

I frequently use my netbook for watching movies or tv shows online when I’m traveling (for work) and am staying in places that have wifi internet access. Mac will help me solve the dilemma of internet viruses/ect. taking over my laptop and ruining the functionality of other programs. I’ve never used a Mac, but I know I want one and will love the software once I learn it.

Because I travel, I looooooove the 10″ netbook size. So while keeping the size down to around 10″, the one major thing that I could really use is an internal lightscribe (or something like it) dvd-rw/cd drive – so that I can make custom labelled cd & dvd’s.

And finally, the battery on my acer one sux – i’m lucky to get 40mins…so another must is a better battery!

So that’s my dream laptop/netbook. Do you know anyone who currently produces anything like that? Or who would build it? Kind of like a dellstyle-hackbook maker? Or am I just dreaming? hahaha…

Thank-you for your time and any help you can offer!

Take Care! – Melinda from Canada 🙂
