Well it was inevitable that the next release of Android would begin with an ‘i’ after ‘Honeycomb’ the tablet Android and ‘Gingerbread’ for phones.
‘Ice-cream Sandwich’ will be next dessert named Android OS to launch and will bring features from both Gingerbread and Honeycomb to bring a nice and tasty treat to Android users.
As Android 2.4, Ice-cream sandwich get’s some of Honeycombs abilities combined with touches of the phone based Gingerbread, we imagine that the new OS will find it’s way on to both phone and tablet devices which could make Honeycomb a premium tablet OS leaving Ice-cream Sandwich filling the gap between 10 inch tablets and smart-phones.
