Samsung Completes One UI 8.5 Rollout for All 44 Confirmed Devices!

The Galaxy A15 was the last confirmed device. The story isn't over however and here's why.

- Samsung has simultaneously entered One UI 9 beta development: the Galaxy S26 series is on Beta 3, with that update expected next week — and the stable One UI 9 release remains on track for July 2026 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8.
- Devices not on the list — including the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and most 2022-era models — will not receive One UI 8.5, as Samsung fulfilled those devices' OS update commitments with One UI 8.0.
Completing a 44-device rollout in just over a month — while simultaneously running a One UI 9 beta program — is a meaningful operational achievement for Samsung. The same team that finished One UI 8.5 is already on Beta 3 of the next major release. The pace is faster than any previous Samsung software cycle.

Samsung additionally updated 10 unconfirmed devices — a group drawn from 18 expected-but-never-officially-confirmed phones. The Galaxy A06, M56, M55, M55s, M16, M06, F56, F55, F54, F06, and XCover 7 Pro all received the update despite never appearing on Samsung's official newsroom list. Eight more from that unconfirmed group may still follow — Samsung's pattern suggests the rollout isn't formally closed until all eligible hardware has been addressed.
One UI 9 Is Already Moving
Beta 3 of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series is expected next week. The first two betas focused on foundational architecture and Gemini Intelligence integration. Beta 3 typically introduces stability improvements and refined feature implementations. The stable One UI 9 release — based on Android 17 — is still targeted for July 2026 alongside Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event in London.
