The buzz around Chinese tech sites and microblogs today is news that Amazon are (possibly) planning to officially launch their Kindle Fire Android tablet in the Chinese market.

The rumor has emerged from a job listing for an Amazon Kindle engineer position based in China, while the this position could be related to a possible China launch for the popular ebook reader/Android tablet, it could also just be for an engineer to work on future kindles headed State’s side.
Amazon have openly talked about their desire to launch the Fire here in China and this is not the first rumor pointing at a possible future launch, and if Amazon did come to China with the Kindle Fire they may well clean up in a market where local companies are failing.
However, if you can’t wait for the official launch you could quite easily pick up one of the many grey market models which are readily available.
