Dual Sim Galaxy Note 2 Headed for China?

Samsung are pushing forward with their Note 2 phablet which looks set to be this year’s best-selling large screen smartphone, but sales numbers could double if rumors that a dual-sim Samsung Galaxy Note 2 are true!

According to this article, Samsung are planning to enter the world’s largest smartphone market with an all new dual-sim version of their popular Note 2 phablet!

Gizchina News of the week

It this turns out to be true Samsung are going to be making a lot of Chinese phablet fans very happy, as currently the choice of a super large screen phone with great specification and great resolution is pretty limited in China at the moment.

The majority of the current crop of Chinese brand phablet which offer dual-sim support tend to be let down by their poor resolution and low specification rear cameras.

Lets see if this rumour turns out to be true.

Andi, if this phone does come out, do you think its gonna be a GSM+GSM/WCDMA OR GSM+CDMA ?

I don’t imagine them making it only work on Chinese frequencies I suppose it comes down to component costs and if they are worried about a dual-sim note getting out on to the international market… I’m really not sure to be honest.

That would be cool!!! I use a note to draw with a pen, (take architectural notes) and need the dual sim to work with my customers who use one or other carrier.

I was thinking in a lumia 920 but if this phone were reality I’d buy it :P. The same way as the HTC dual sim I am sure in China could modify the system to have more languages. Well, wait to know if it is true…

Andi, if that’s the case, it would be the first “flagship” model from a major company that will go internationally with Dual sim… it’s quite unlikely, though.

    I have a question guys.

How does whatsapp work on the two sim card phones? I haven’t thought of this till now.

Does it register both numbers and accepts the incoming messages to different numbers and can you decide on which number to use for messaging?

I’m a bit confused on this really

Whatapps can only work on 1 number unless you are able to install 2 whatapp application in your phone.
