Archos 97 Platinum and 80 Patinum on show at CES

Archos have updated their Platinum range of Android tablets with new quad-core processors, while retaining their stunning displays.

Archos’ flagship table the PlatinumĀ 97 is on show at CES. The 9.7-inch tablet sports the same 2048 x 1536 Retina display and iPad styling as the current model but with an updated 1.2Ghz quad-core display.

Unfortunately, the processor update is where the changes end, and the tablet still features two rather poor 2 mega-pixel cameras.

If 9.7-inches is too much for you, then you might like the 8-inch Archos 80 Platinum which features the same specifications and the 97, but with a smaller 1024 x 768 non-retina display.

Both tablet are expected to go on sale in March with pricing starting at $199 for the 80 Platinum, rising to $328 for the 97.
