The
China Telecom version of the
Xiaomi M2 received it's network license not so long ago, and judging by the splash page over on the
Xiaomi website they should go
on sale for the 26th January,
China Telecom is the 3rd largest phone
carrier in
China (
China Mobile is the largest and
China Unicom comes in second), and use their own CDMA2000 network meaning customers wanting to get their hands on the latest phones are often stuck waiting for months for the
CDMA model is announced.
Unfortunately, the wait is not over the
Xiaomi fans wanting a
CDMA phone though, as the
device is likely to sell out just as quickly as the
unlocked and
China Unicom
models have done before it! Just when will Xiaomi get their act together and launch the
M2 is stores?
The
China Telecom
Xiaomi M2 features the same 4.3-inch 720p display,
quad-core CPU,
2GB RAM and 8 mega-pixel rear camera as other
M2 models and will be priced at 1999 Yuan.
