Nubia Z5 Mini rumoured to get 4.7-inch display and Xiaomi rivalling price tag!

Last week we reported on the rumour that ZTE’s Nubia brand were working on a new Nubia Z5 mini to rival the Xiaomi M2s, today we have more details along with the above purported image!

Mini version of high-end phones are nothing new, but the Nubia Z5 mini could be the first actually worth owning! Rumours suggest that ZTE, the makers of the Nuba brand in China, are planing to launch the Z5 mini in direct compeition with Xiaomi’s M2s! This means we can expect pricing from between 1899-2299 Yuan ($309 – $375), but also high-end specs including a 4.7-inch HD display.

Gizchina News of the week

Chinese tech site IT168 claim to have seen a prototype of the Nubia Z5 mini which features the trademark Nubia ‘red ring’ home button below a 4.7-inch display and dual external speakers on the rear casing.

If Nubia are able to give the Z5 mini similar hardware to the M2s i.e a 1.7Ghz Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel camera, the still young brand could see a huge jump in popularity!

$375 would be way to much because you get in Europe OppoFind 5 with better specs incl. free shipping and 2 year waranty just for 25 bucks more.

Nubia Z5 screen is already 5 inches, 4.7 should be too close to 5 inches no? seems strange

I would hope they go for a 4.3 or 4.5inch display really

yes me too, I see so many nice phones coming by but I don’t want a phone larger then 135mm because otherwise it won’t fit in my pocket properly

And I have bought a V987 from which I was quite disappointed: dead pixels, light coming out around the screen, weird sounds from the external speaker…

ZTE will be launching Grand X2 soon with a 4.5″ screen and an intel processor, if I remember from a previous thread.
