Nuu Nu1 1.7Ghz , 4.8-inch Xiaomi Mi2A destroyer!

If you have spent any amount of time on GizChina you will have seen that I quite like Xiaomi phones, in fact I bought a Xiaomi Mi2A for my wife just last week, but had I seen the Nuu Nu1 at the time I would probably be coming home with one of them instead.

Nuu are one of those Chinese brands who keep themselves to themselves. No hype, not leaked photos, nothing. The first time you get to hear about their new phones is when they offer them on sale!

Gizchina News of the week

So what makes the Nu1 a Xiaomi Mi2A slayer, well the processor is the same 1,7Ghz dual-core Snapdragon unit, there is 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and room for an SD card! Built-in NFC and 8 mega-pixel rear just like the Mi2A but a larger 4.8-inch 720p display from Casio!

The best bit though is the price. At 1299 Yuan ($211) with headphones and a case the Nuu Nu1 is cheaper than the 1499 Yuan ($244) Xiaomi which doesn’t come with those accessories!

Availability looks to be the major hurdle though, the brand is quite small and their phones seem to be only on sale though their website! Still if you do come by one it might well be worth buying!

The fact is that xiaomi is quite well known now and we can be sure about good built quality, smooth interface, software updates and bug corrections. I have bought a ZTE just before my Mi2A and returned it after having dead pixels on the first one and sound problem on the second one (no need to mention backlight coming out through the border of the glass!). If specs of this one are appealing I would like to see built quality though.

Smaller battery, only adreno 220 instead 320 lika xiaomi m2 and you don’t know what about build quality. Xiaoimi looks better:)

One of the major attractions of Xiaomi devices are MIUI ROM which comes preinstalled on it, and continous software support through life of device……..

I think support whichever phone you buy should be critical, I think Xiaomi coupled with MIUI has plenty of that.

Also after having checked on website, battery is lower than Mi2A, GPU is Adreno220 and they claim Mi2A has no NFC…and on what seems to be real pictures and not renders the phone is not finally so attractive.

This is the same 1.7ghz processor as the one in the Xiaomi M1s, not the M2A.

Possibly a Faea F1 killer, not xiaomi Mi2a.
    9000 on antutu vs 16000+ on mi2a
    Also no Glonass GPS support

Upon seeing a competitor trying to destroy the precious Xiaomi, all I could think of is ” Nuuuuuu~ Nuu way you will beat Xiamo.” xD

      Haaaa Haaaa.. Very nicely put..
Probably the +’s are only screen and SD Card. I think Xiaomi Mi2A should have had 4.7 inch screen.

Well there is also another brand in China called Yusun & they claim to be direct competitors with Xiaomi, claiming there phones to be of a similar build quality but cheaper on price.

I thought all you people already know that scoring high on Antutu is a joke. Antutu ain’t a standard, its just a fake benchmarking app that manufactures pay to attain a certain score. NUU is a real deal!
