Gizchina News of the week

If the Xiaomi tablet does have the quad-core MT8125 processor this would mean the budget tablet could support 1080 video encoding, 13 mega-pixel camera, but best of all built-in WIFI and 3G.

Earlier reports of the Xiaomi MiPad tablet claim it will feature a 7 inch display, MIUI V5 and could launch on 16th August for just 999 Yuan ($160).

I’m more interested in knowing the key differences between an MT6589T processor and this newer MT8125 processor.

On paper they seem nearly identical, sub for maybe things like Bluetooth 4.0 support.

Anyone got a clearer Idea on this?

3g is nothing new on sub 10″ inch tablets. I hoped this Xiaomi would be it.
I hope we soon get a rumor about a 3G 10″ tablet with retina display.

Excited to see the new device.
I was kinda hoping to see it come with an 8 inch display, not 7 (love the iPad mini and chuwi v88 form factor) and also 4G LTE.
the second is less likely, considering these devices are targeting the Chinese market (no LTE yet, and it will be slow to roll out like 3G).
The 8 inch can easily happen though…. How sure are we it’s a 7″?

Tech manufacturers of China, please make 8″ tablet with Retina display and I’ll be the happiest man ever.
I won’t even complain if it lags.

Sorry, but there is no 8″ tablet WITH RETINA display released yet!!
The first one may be Google Nexus 2 at the end of this month, with 7.7″ 1920×1200 display, but most of us are probably waiting for Ipad Mini 2 screens, with 8″ 2048×1536 and affordable prices on Android platform.
