Umeox X5 to be officially unveiled at IFA Berlin

The Umeox X5, aka the world’s thinnest Android smartphone at only 5.6mm will be officially launched very soon and is heading to European markets!

Umeox have confirmed with us that Thomson will unveil the X5 at IFA in Berlin later this year and that they are currently customising the look, feel and UI of the phone to suit the European market. Details of the phone appear to remain the same other than the display is not being listed as an exclusive 4-inch AMOLED panel manufactured by Samsung.

Gizchina News of the week

As we have written before the Umeox X5 will come with dual 5 mega-pixel cameras, a power efficient Mediatek processor and will measure just 5.6mm which is significantly less than the Huawei Ascend P6 and Vivo X1.

It seems to be good… but I would prefer a bigger screen and a best processor. That’s why I purchased Green Orange N1 Super 🙂

Be interested to see whether they can address the heat issue that been reported with the Huawei P6. As making these things thin inevitably presents its with another challenge.
