Just when we thought Xiaomi brought about a revolution with their $130
quad-core Xiaomi Hongmi smartphone, a certain
JiaYu perhaps took offence and decided to redefine the term 'low
cost quad-core phone'!
The only gripe at this moment is that the
JiaYu G2F will initially come only with
TD-SCDMA support, with a WCDMA variant scheduled for release later. The
device will go on sale in China 5th December, priced just 499 Yuan. To remind you of its specifications, it will come with a
4.3 inch 720p IPS screen, 1.3GHz
quad-core MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM and an 8 mega-pixel rear and 2 mega-pixel front shooter. The
phone will be powered by a 2,200mAh battery and will run LewaOS out of the
box.
The prospect of a sub-$120 (internationally shipped, hopefully) is really exciting! Do you see the JiaYu G2F as your secondary 'mini' phone? Let us know!
