Xiaocai G6 Elite, a Hongmi rival with 12 mega-pixel rear camera!

Xiaocai are launched another low-cost phone, this time aimed at the entry-level market, but does the Xiaocai G6 Elite have the goods to take on the might Xiaomi Hongmi?

Taking a look over the specifications the G6 Elite and Xiaomi Hongmi are very similar devices. Both phones have a quad-core Medaitek processor, 1GB RAM, 4.7-inch 720p display, dual-sim support and room for an SD card. Not everything is the same though, while the Hongmi has a 1.5Ghz quad-core chip, the Xiaocai has just a 1.2Ghz chipset, however to make up for that the phone is equipped with a 5 mega-pixel front camera and 12 mega-pixel rear!

The phone is currently up for pre-order in China only at 988 Yuan ($162). There is currently no word on if any resellers will be offering the phone.
