HONOR has taken the top spot in AnTuTu's latest Android flagship rankings. The HONOR Win 2 scored an average of 4,958,339 points in October, beating several high-end phones powered by Qualcomm's latest chip.
The result is interesting because the Win 2 combines flagship performance with a massive 10,100mAh battery. It also shows how closely the newest Snapdragon-powered phones are competing at the top.

HONOR Win 2 narrowly beats RedMagic

The HONOR Win 2 leads the October ranking with its Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. AnTuTu tested the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration.
The RedMagic 12 Pro+ came second with 4,956,846 points. It uses the same processor, and the gap between the two phones is just 1,493 points. That is a tiny difference in a benchmark where scores can vary between runs.
The iQOO 16 takes third place with 4,865,546 points. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Fold dropped from first place in September to fourth, scoring 4,737,201 points with its XRING O3 chip.

Snapdragon dominates the top six

The OnePlus 16 and HONOR Magic 9 Pro Max occupy fifth and sixth place. Both use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, meaning five of the top six phones now run the same processor.
MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro appears further down the list. The Vivo X500 Pro Max ranks seventh with 4,354,880 points, followed by the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max with 4,335,762 points.
The HONOR Win RT 2 and iQOO 15 Ultra round out the top ten. Both use the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

My take: The benchmark race is getting harder to judge

HONOR deserves credit for topping the ranking, but the tiny gap over RedMagic shows how little separates these phones in peak performance. A few thousand points should not decide which phone is better.
I am more interested in how these devices handle long gaming sessions, heat, and battery life. The Win 2's huge battery and cooling system could make it a more practical gaming phone, but independent testing will tell us much more than a monthly ranking.
