HONOR is taking its Magic 9 series to international markets this week and this comes from Honor's Global CMO (Guan Haitao) - who shared a recent update via Weibo. The first stop is Hong Kong on November 4, with Europe set to follow in January 2027.
The lineup includes three phones, each with a different focus. The Magic 9 offers a compact design, the Pro Max targets mobile photography, and the Super Edition puts battery life first.

Magic 9: Two 200MP cameras in a compact phone

The standard Magic 9 features a 6.37-inch display and an 8,000mAh battery. It runs MagicOS 11 and uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
HONOR also gives it a strong camera setup. The rear system includes two 200MP sensors for the main and telephoto cameras, plus a 50MP ultrawide lens. The front camera has a 55MP sensor and supports several framing options.

Magic 9 Pro Max brings ARRI video tools

The Magic 9 Pro Max is the most ambitious model in the lineup. It has a 6.8-inch display, an 8,800mAh battery, and 100W wired charging. It also supports 80W wireless charging.
Its main attraction is the camera system developed with ARRI. The phone supports ARRI LogC3 video and offers 14 ARRI Looks presets. Its ARRI CINEMA mode can record 4K video at 60fps. HONOR's H1 imaging chip handles image processing, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 powers the phone.
These tools could help the Pro Max stand out among camera-focused flagships. Still, real-world video quality will matter more than the list of features.

Super Edition puts battery life first

The Magic 9 Super Edition takes a different approach. Its huge 11,000mAh battery supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
HONOR has made some camera compromises on this model. However, its battery capacity could appeal to users who want fewer charging stops throughout the day.

HONOR is making an interesting bet

I like that HONOR is giving each model a clear purpose instead of making three phones that feel almost identical. The ARRI partnership is especially interesting, but I want to see how much it improves video in everyday use. And while the Super Edition's 11,000mAh battery sounds impressive, the phone's weight and size will matter just as much.

When will HONOR launch in Europe?

HONOR has confirmed a European launch for January 2027, including the UK and France. Pricing and local availability details have not yet been announced.
The November 4 event should reveal more about the international rollout. The Pro Max looks like the most exciting model, but its price will decide how well it competes with other premium phones.
