Coolpad Great God is a 7-inch 1200 x 1920 display Android ‘phone’ for $311!

At CoolPad’s launch event today the popular phone maker launched the worlds largest Android phone, the huge 7-inch Coolpad Great God!

As well as launching the world’s cheapest octacore smartphone earlier today, Coolpad also launched the worlds largest Android ‘phone’ (if it can still be called such!).

The Coolpad Great God, like it’s smaller brother the Great God F1, is powered by a 1.7Ghz octacore MT6592 processor and 2GB RAM. The big difference between the two models is the screen size! The Great God has a huge 7-inch 1200 x 1920 HD OGS, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display! At 7-inch the CoolPad Great God is the largest smartphone/phablet currently on sale and even dwarfs the 6.8-inch Hisense X1 spotted at CES earlier.

Coolpad have also loaded the 7-incher with a few improvements over the smaller F1 including a 13 mega-pixel Sony rear camera with F2.0 aperture, and anti-fingerprint coating, wide-angle 5 mega-pixel front camera and DTS stereo sound. We don’t have the dimensions of the device but we do know that it measures in at just 7.6mm thick and has a 4000mAh battery.

The best news though is that the Coolpad Great God costs just 1888 Yuan ($311) in China and comes with WCDMA and GSM support!

It is interesting to know its size.. Otherwise specs are “cool” starting with battery, camera and cpu enough to deal FHD resolution. Price is just fine!

this is a 7 inch tablet with the interface of a phone.

Indeed.Calling it a phone doesn’t make it less of a tablet.

That’s why they invented the word phablet.

Does it have OTG? I like the narrow bezels most 7 inch tablets have huge bezel space

I would have bought it if it wouldn’t have the word God in it’s name because the specs exactly match my desire. Pity

Makes no sense whatsoever. Let’s be honest, one of the expressions that a person might use when they see this behemoth is “Great God!”. It’s not like you’re worshipping a phone.

Just what I’ve been looking for. I like the size specs and price. Unless something else comes out I’ll get it. I’m getting rid of laptop, other phones and tablets. Fits in my purse. Bluetooth makes the phone part work good. It would be nice if it folded in half. Just an idea for the future. 10″ tablet too big, like a notebook.

” largest smartphone/phablet currently on sale ” what about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in either 3g or 4g guise. As the name suggests it is 8″ so larger and it can make and receive calls so phone/phablet?
