Alcatel Home V102, Chromecast rival heading to Europe in Q2


Alcatel have announced that they will be launching their rival to Google’s Chormecast in Europe. The Alcatel Home V102 will cost just 49 Euro!

Alcatel’s simple dongle works in much the same way as Google’s Chromecast. Simply connect the Alcatel Home V102 to your HDMI equipped TV, plugin the power, set up the WIFI and off you go.

The dongle uses Miracast technology to mirror your Android phone or tablet’s display on to your TV, allowing you to play games, browse the web or stream video wirelessly. The Home V102 also boasts support for 5.1 surround sound, and can stream 1080 video at 30fps.

    What is the advantage compared with cromecast?

      I think Chromecast doesn’t let you stream videos from your storage. Not sure though! 🙂
