Purpoted Xiaomi Mi3S chassis could suggest larger display

xiaomi mi3s leaked

Leaked photos of the purported metal chassis for the Xiaomi Mi3S could suggest a larger display could make it’s way on to the updated flagship Xioami phone.

Earlier in the year photos from a factory in China showed what many believed to be the metal chassis for the next generation Xiaomi Mi4, however with the latest details of a 4G LTE equipped Xiaomi Mi3S on the way, Chinese tech sites are now speculating the Mi3S could get a 5.5-inch display too.

Gizchina News of the week

Anyone who has tried the current Mi3 will tell you just what a great phone it is, but physical size of the phone is way to large for the 5-inch FHD display. So you would think that news of a larger 5.5-inch display would be met with celebrations, but that’s not the case here! The reason being the leaked chassis are larger than the current Mi3’s meaning what ever display increase which may be planned would come at the cost of a much larger device.

Xiaomi Mi3S won’t have a larger display

We don’t believe that the Mi3S will have a larger display but it will appear physically identical with all updates (4G LTE, Snapdragon 805, 3GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel front camera) going on with out any changes to the shape or design.

These leaked photos could be from an all new Xiaomi phone, perhaps a 5.5-inch Hongmi? or a larger display Xiaomi Mi3A with similar hardware to the current Mi3?

What do you guy’s make of these leaks?

Let’s just hope when they release the Mi4 they will make it 5.2-5.5″ and they simultaneously release a Mi4 Mini with the M2S form factor! Until then, no more Xiaomi ^^

Stop mobiles with over 4.7” .
Mobiles should be max 4.7” , over this is a tablet and not a phone

+1, i think 5inch with thin bezel should be ok too. Why is Xiaomi not releasing a 4.7inch phone with SnapDragan 600 / 800 Quad Core. I could not wait much so i went with Mi2A instead last nov.
May be if Xiaomi want to release a Mi4 mini lets hope its 4.7 inch. Though based on what ever mini versions i have seen like Samsung S4 mini, they are mainly Low to Mid end phone and Hongami/Mi2A already are those.
