lte Chinese
smartphone war kicks off today with the
launch of the latest Dakele
phone powered by a Snapdragon
processor and
2GB RAM.
We haven’t had to wait for Meidatek to
launch their MT6595
processor for the
first low-cost 4G
lte phones to
launch in
China as manufacturers are making use of Qualcomm’s new cost effective processors.
Dakele were one of the
first to
launch a low-cost 4G
phone in
China today. The Dakele L1
smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8926 quad-core
processor which supports all major bands in
China including GSM, WCDMA,
TD-SCDMA, 4G
LTE. There is also support for SG-
LTE which allows calls to be made of 2G while heavy data work is transered over 4G
LTE.

Other details of the Dakele L1 also include a
5.5-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display,
2GB RAM, 16GB memory, Sony IMX179 F2.0 aperture main camera and 2550mAh battery. Pricing is very competitive at just 1499 Yuan ($250) with a release date set for April.
