GizChina’s roving reporter, Eduardo, is currently on the prowl around the show floor at MWC and has come across a device Chinese phone fans have been waiting for! A MT6595 Mediatek phone with 4G LTE and Android 4.4 KitKat!
This spy photo was quickly snapped by GizChina.es’ Editor and shows a prototype smartphone running the yet to be released MT6595 chipset from Taiwanese company Mediatek.
Gizchina News of the week
What’s more exciting still is this is a Mediatek device that is running Android 4.4 Kitkat, version 4.4.2 to be exact, and the processor also happens to be the first Mediatek SoC to have 4G LTE support built-in!
We are waiting on Eduardo for more details, and you can check out GizChina.es for more excellent MWC news!
Oh yes….
this is a real exciting news… bravo Eduardo …and Andy
very good news, indeed!
Music to my ears. A 6″ 1080p screen, 4gb’s of ram, 32-64gb’s of internal storage & a 10,000mha battery to keep things running. Maybe a battery like this, http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Im5yWu0cIhI

i was 2 inches from buying the tcl idol x+, hopefully i saw this !
the phone brand is MTK?
I hope they do the same thing with MT6589 too :/
Why such an old kernel version? My android 4.2 ThL has 3.4.5
3.10 is better than 3.4…
My bad I thought it said 3.1.0
And anyway it means nothing… The 3.4.5 on MT6589T is not a real one. It’s a 3.4.0 ^^
I think they upgraded to 3.10 anyway
